Weather Plus Valley forecast

DAILY FORECAST

Happy Tuesday! Very cold temps to start the day off. 20's and 30's right here in the Valley! We can expect patchy frost as well. This cold air mass will continue to hang over the Southwest for the rest of the week. High temperatures will stay below normal for the next 7 days. High pressure will build into the region for the rest of the week giving us sunny skies and dry weather right through the weekend. Early morning temps will be close enough to freezing through Wednesday morning so it's time to consider frost protection. Many pets can handle this cold, but you might want to take steps to make elderly pets comfortable in the cold weather. Pipes should be fine as well except for higher elevations and areas well outside of the Valley. Plants could be frost-nipped over the next few days, but a killing freeze in the Valley looks unlikely at this point. Areas out of the Valley could see a hard freeze over the next few days so make sure your pipes and plants are taken care of. A hard freeze means we should see several hours below 28 degrees and that will kill many crops that haven't been harvested as of yet. Stay warm and enjoy the cold weather. Make it a great day!
