Sunday will see continued rain for lower elevations and snow for the High Country. This big storm will slowly move through Arizona and the rain should begin to taper off for most of the Valley by Sunday afternoon. We keep chances for leftover showers in the Valley especially near foothills East and North of the Valley until Monday morning. Rain totals should be between 0.25"-1.00"+. This will be the biggest storm for the Valley since December. The snow will be a big part of this forecast as well. Snow begins late Saturday/early Sunday and should last through Sunday night. We see lingering snow into early Monday morning with the snow level dropping to 3,000 ft. just before the sun comes up. The snow totals should be really big with this storm. We could see 15-22" above 7,000 ft. and 8-10 above 5,000 ft. Take caution because most roads above 5,000 ft. will have accumulated snow and ice, and Sunday can be a busy travel day. Expect travel issues Sunday, and early Monday morning. We see the storm exit Monday afternoon and we warm up to the 70s by Wednesday and 80s for next weekend.
