Monday we see a fast moving cold front bringing gusts to 60mph in NW Arizona and gusts up to 45 in the Valley. Travel on I-10 between Phoenix and Tucson as well as travel on I-40 could be difficult with blowing dust before the storm moves in. We see a chance for a light shower in the higher terrain North and East of the Valley. It will be a stretch to see anything other than clouds in the Valley on Monday but if you are into numbers the chance is near 10-20% to see a light shower in the Valley. Northern Arizona will have better chances to see some snow. Look for 3-9 inches in N. Arizona and up to a foot for the resorts and higher elevations. One interesting note about this storm is the snow level. We could see snow down to 3,000 ft in Northern Arizona and 3,500 ft. in the foothills near the Valley very early on Tuesday morning. I think this will be an interesting part of the forecast to watch other than the strong winds on Monday. After a high near 63 on Tuesday in the Valley we warm up to the 70s and stay there until next weekend.
