If you like cooler weather, and hate the heat we can call this next forecast "good news with bad news". First, we do see a bit of a cool down into the low 90s for Thursday as a passing front brings some cooler air into the picture and some high clouds. We don't expect any rain with this passing system to our North. Then Friday to Tuesday we will be very warm to hot with temps way above average. Friday we see a high of 97 and Saturday, we see our first Valley 100 degree day. This is always bound to happen but it's early this year, just like last year. Last year we hit 100 on April 1st and we typically hit it near May 2nd. The new 30 year average has been sliding it up but this is still early. Sunday we see a high of 102 and Monday 102 as well. Tuesday we are still very warm at 98 but finally get some cooling to 92. If we get to 100 or above for three days, that will make it the first 3-day 100 degree weather pattern in April since 1992. I do see some broad cooling next week so there is something to look for in the long range forecast. I want to add one other note: safety around water. Since this will be the first solid pool weekend for many of us, we need to be extra careful with kids around water. We do not want this warm weekend to turn deadly for Valley residents.
