Saturday we should have our first 100 degree day in the Valley. This has a big mental impact and physical impact for many of us in the Valley. We hit 100 by May 2nd on average so, yes, this is early. Last year, we hit the first 100 on April 1st so it's a little better this year. One thing that hasn't happened in quite some time is an extended 100 degree stretch in April. We see 102 on Sunday, and 102 on Monday. We will most likely break a record on Sunday with the old high being 99. If we go 100+ for the three days it will be the first time in April since 1992...since the first Bush was President. Tuesday we see some cooling to 97 and finally should be in the upper 80s by Thursday. I want to add one other note: safety around water. Since this will be the first solid pool weekend for many of us, we need to be extra careful with kids around water. We do not want this warm weekend to turn deadly for Valley residents.
